Grant funding offered by the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) is intended to support people-to-people links and underpin key bilateral relationships within the region, including business, education, and technological advancement. Such bilateral partnerships come with their own set of unique challenges, the least of which is overcoming the language barrier and finding a viable partner for business in a distant country, as well as following all government mandates for both nations.
Join this session to gain further understanding of DFAT’s approach to grant funding for joint partnerships, the culture council, and how to secure an international partner for your project. We will discuss specific laws and policies which must be followed in both countries to ensure a successful application, with tips to make it stand out amongst other proposals. Finally, we will deep dive into a case study of a recently successful grant recipient to set the standard for what is expected of an application.
If you have been thinking about expanding your reach outside of Australia or had your eye on a bilateral grant from DFAT but didn’t quite know where to start, you won’t want to miss this session!
